#FF — Mom-ology & Spectrum Martial Art & Fitness

Posted on

This #FF is going to be a “twofer”. Two sites that are connected because one is run by a wife and mommy and the other by her husband. The initial site I was visiting was Mom-ology blog site. Jen Cluff is a married mom of one sweet special needs boy nicknamed “Bean”. Jen is currently homeschooling her little guy due to issues and difficulties with the local school to accommodate her child and his special needs and his service dog. Ah yes, the service dog Ollie is nothing short of adorable. Jen is very knowledgeable about the service dog program as well as many other avenues of special needs.

I visit weekly and am never disappointed. She always has new content, well written, and informative. She also has an engaging audience who comment often. She is also a proud Canadian Blogger (as she puts it). It was from her main site that I discovered her husband’s business as a special needs dojo.

Jen’s husband who is an avid martial artist, is also involved heavily with the special needs community. He has started a karate class for the special needs kiddos in their area. Spectrum Martial Arts & Fitness, was born out of a need for a place for their son to learn at his speed and level.

“There were many difficult challenges for their son in a commercial martial arts school, which lead Sifu Paul to create a specialized program for children on the Autism Spectrum.   The program’s focus is on having fun while introducing the benefits of martial arts including improved self-confidence, exercise, balance and co-ordination.” Paul Cluff, Spectrum Martial Arts & Fitness

So I hope you take the time to go and visit both of their sites. Scoot around, see what their all about, if your feeling kind and inspired, leave a message, if your still unsure, remain a lurker and go about your day. Take what you can from them and leave the rest.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Stay safe & stay Informed!
